How to run Chit Chat Lite in the background mode?
Select “Go Background” menu item from the “Account” menu. Also, you can configure Chit Chat Lite to go to the background mode automatically when you exit it (for example, when you get a phone call). This can be done by selecting “Preferences” from the “Tools” menu, then select “On Exit: Go Background”.
Please note that if you turn the LCD off while running Chit Chat Lite, it will not run in the background mode. You have to force Chit Chat Lite to work in the background mode before turning the LCD off.

What happens when I receive a message while Chit Chat Lite is running in the background mode?
That depends on how you configured Chit Chat Lite. In the preferences form (“Tools” menu then “Preferences”) you can inform Chit Chat Lite either to: vibrate, flash the LED or produce sound.

How can I get the latest version of Chit Chat Lite?
Starting with version 0.99, Chit Chat Lite can check for the updates and prompt the user whether he/she wants to download and install the latest version of Chit Chat Lite if a new version is available.
Starting with version 1.50 you will need to install the prc file BgProcessor.prc in order to be able to run CCLite. So if you are upgrading from any version before 1.50 to version 1.50 or later, please don’t run CCLite unless you install BgProcessor.prc. BgProcessor.prc can be downloaded from our website.

Can I use Emoticons and quick messages?
Yes.

Does Chit Chat Lite Support Treo600/650 5-way navigator?
Yes.
In the main tab (the buddies list tree tab), you can use up, down and center to navigate the tree. Use the center button while you are selecting one of the buddies to activate the actions menu. Left and right can be used to navigate the opened tabs. 
In the chatting tab, use the center button to toggle the focus state of the textbox. While the textbox has the focus, you can use left and right buttons for editing. When the textbox is not focused, left and right buttons can be used to navigate the tabs. Up and down buttons can be used to scroll the text.
